About me

I learned late in the game that I make a better artist than scientist. Still, I bring elements of my scientific training to my art, including an insatiable curiosity about the world around me. My style is marked by a tension between whimsy and darkness and fluid gestures and geometric precision through abstract figurative paintings, and mixed media. I am constantly exploring new practices and mediums.

Through my art, I explore trauma and memory and its physical/emotional/spiritual ripples, womanhood, and spirituality.
